Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Hi, I’m Alexa Guerrero, the founder of Balanced Bliss Home Solutions, and I believe our spaces have a powerful impact on how we feel and function every day. When our environment is cluttered or overwhelming, it can quietly add stress to an already full life. I’ve been there — craving calm, clarity, and a sense of balance when it feels like so many things are out of my control.

I am a Colorado native, I was born and raised in Durango, where the majority of my family still lives. I love being in the mountains and adventuring with my family. I have two boys, a wonderful husband and a little fluff ball we call dunkin (our sheepdoodle).

I graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelors in Social work and an associates in Emergency Services Administration. It took more years than I care to admit to finally find my calling in my studies and life- helping people. Social work was not something I had really ever considered or thought of until it found its way into my life. Once I found it, I fell in love. I love meeting people and helping them exactly where they are. We all have our own stories to tell, our own journeys, and situations and I love helping people find their own way to feel empowered and proud of their journey thus far. I have worked in many different settings as a case worker but took a step back when I had my son. Since then I have been home raising my boys and managing our home. Over the years I tried to figure out my next step and tried many things: selling baked goods, going back for my masters degree or finding a position working in schools, but nothing felt right, except for one thing- organizing. Time after time I would feel inspired to pursue a career helping people in their homes, I would usually push the idea aside because it felt nerve wracking, and yet it kept coming back. Home organization has been the perfect combination of the things I love, 1) organizing, and 2) helping people.

Growing up I felt like so much of my life was out of my control and chaotic, but I could always find balance in calm when I would sort or organize my space. I have always loved the process, and it felt therapeutic to bring some order when everything else felt so out of control. I have met so many wonderful people with my work who all have incredible stories, one that they all have in common, feeling stuck and overwhelmed in some aspect of their home/space. I honestly believe we are all blessed with incredible talents and strengths that are as unique as we are, and organizing happens to be one of my strengths. I want to use that talent to help others so they make space for what truly matters to them.
